Characters represent the resort's pillars and reinforce the strategy of emotional connection with guests. The new redesign brings the characters closer to toys and presents versions with 3D perspectives.
Costao do Santinho, one of the country's main all-inclusive resorts, introduces the new edition of Turma do Costao to the market, an initiative that combines storytelling, sensory marketing, and personalized experiences to strengthen the emotional connection with guests. The project highlights six resort mascots, now coming to life in 3D perspective versions, with a design aimed at closer engagement with children and teen audiences.
The characters — Cora Coruja, Dom Gambá, Tutu Graxaim, Bela Borboleta, Lala Gralha, and Tato Lagarto — were created based on the resort's pillars, such as nature, history, people, gastronomy, entertainment, and structure. The initiative is part of a strategy to expand contact points with the target audience and consolidate a community emotionally engaged with the brand.
“Each character embodies the values and atmosphere of the resort, fostering lasting bonds with our guests,” explains Daniela Rocco, commercial and marketing director at Costao.
Between reality and imagination
The rebranding project was developed by Studio CAAN, a creative design agency specialized in realistic illustrations, characters, campaigns, animation, motion graphics, sculptures, and 3D character creation.
“The 3D style brings great empathy with the mascot next to the guest, who will feel like they are in a magical world. 3D has much more life, it’s an excellent illustration finish, an effect that makes you feel like you're in a Disney, Pixar, Marvel movie,” summarizes Charles CAAN, CEO of Studio CAAN.
With exclusive design and engaging storytelling, each character in the Turma do Costao carries unique traits that enhance the resort's identity and experiences.
- Cora Coruja rescues the place’s stories and represents wisdom and human connections.
- Dom Gambá is the curious gamer who turns fun into learning.
- Tutu Graxaim invites radical adventures and contact with nature.
- Bela Borboleta is a symbol of well-being, art, and style.
- Lala Gralha represents adventures, entertainment, and joy.
- Tato Lagarto is the guardian of sustainability and the Atlantic Forest.
“With the Turma do Costao, we make tangible something that has always been present in the resort’s essence: the combination of leisure, knowledge, affection, and care for nature. Children are enchanted, they get involved with the characters, and thus, we create memories that last far beyond the stay,” completes Daniela Rocco.
Connections that build community
The Turma do Costao is present in various parts of the resort. With unique characteristics, the characters encourage learning, social interaction, respect for nature, and well-being. The proposal is that the playful narrative and contact with the mascots make the resort experience even more significant for children and families.
The strategy follows a global trend of emotional tourism, which seeks to involve guests through remarkable experiences and products that perpetuate this memory at home. In this context, the Turma do Costao reinforces the resort's positioning as a reference in purposeful hospitality.
